A cheque of €625.20 was recently handed over to the Irish Deaf Society in Castlebar by members of the Western Care Day Centre in Newport. The money was raised by the members of the centre after they held a coffee morning at the centre in Newport.

Local councillor Brendan Mulroy who works at the Western Care Day Centre said that they were delighted to host the coffee morning and support the Irish Deaf Society which he says does so much good work for families in communities around Mayo and elsewhere.
