ENGAGED! Mayo GAA All-Star footballer announces big news

Only last week, the captain of the Mayo GAA senior football team Paddy Durcan announced his engagement

It seems to be that season of the year, because now one Paddy Durcan's county team colleague Matthew Ruane has announced his engagement as well.

Congratulations come flying in, also from fellow footballers.

The Breaffy clubman and his now fiancée shared the good news on their social media.

The 28-year-old Ruane has been playing for Mayo since 2019 and he won a GAA All-Star in 2021 after Mayo's run to the All-Ireland final, beating the famous six-in-a-row Dublin team along the way in the semi-final.
