Another jam-packed weekend of sporting action is expected as Mayo face Connacht rivals, Galway in two huge clashes

CONNACHT SENIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL

This is a massive clash between the neighbouring counties. Galway in search of four Connacht titles in a row. Can Kevin Mc Stay’s Men stop the romp and regain silverware?
Mayo have been below par in their opening two Championship games, but winning while underperforming is certainly no bad fate.
In Mayo’s own back yard, Galway are hot favourites but can they continue their fine form is the big question.

CONNACHT MINOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI FINAL
Mayo v Galway
Hastings Insurance MacHale Park Castlebar, Friday at 6.30pm
The sides recently met just two weeks ago and The Tribesmen came out on top narrowly in a high-scoring encounter. Mayo joint-managers David Heaney and Tom Reilly made a draft of changes from the previous meeting with an eye on this clash potentially in mind.
Expect a hugely competitive battle between the sides as always, with Roscommon awaiting the winner.

EUROPEAN RUGBY CHAMPIONS CUP SEMI FINAL
Leinster v Northampton
Aviva Stadium Dublin, Saturday at 5.30pm
Mayo man, Caelan Doris will be attempting to lead his Leinster side to more glory as they face a talented Northampton side.
Leinster have coasted to wins most recently beating Harlequins and Glasgow Warriors while impressively not conceding a single point.
This clash will be expected to be much closer with an all French affair between Bordeaux and Toulouse making up the other pairing.

ELVERYS SPORTS SUPER LEAGUE
Castlebar Celtic v Manulla
Celtic Park Castlebar, Sunday at 11am
Castlebar Celtic will be looking to continue their 100% winning start as they host eighth-placed Manulla.
The hoops have enjoyed many victories against Manulla in recent times and Stevie Gavin’s side look set to continue their winning ways.

JUNIORS INTERPROVINCIAL SERIES
Connacht Juniors v Ulster Juniors
Castlebar Rugby Club, Saturday at 2.30pm
After falling short against Munster in their opening outing, Connacht will be looking to gain victory in Castlebar.
There are eight players represented by Mayo clubs on the Connacht squad. Those are: Brendan McLoughlin and Ross Bourke (Westport), Sean Connolly and Sean Tonra (Castlebar), Calum Quinn, Liam Jones, Sean O’Connell (Ballina) and Michael Jordan (Ballyhaunis).
