Belmullet man Jake Bourn graduated at AirNav Ireland’s 2025 graduation ceremony

Mayo man Jake Bourn was among the 23 graduates at air traffic control group AirNav Ireland’s 2025 graduation ceremony.

The Belmullet man graduated as an electronics engineer with the company and is expected to join the group as an engineer.

AirNav Ireland is the key body, alongside the Irish Aviation Association, in Irish aviation and operates air traffic control at Dublin, Cork, and Shannon airports.

Mr Bourn is one of the 14 Air Traffic Safety Electronics Engineers who graduated, with nine Air Traffic Control Officers completing their training.

The company’s CEO, Peter Kearney, congratulated all graduates on completing their education and spoke of the wider plan to increase their workforce with 240 graduates by 2035.

“Today’s graduation is an important milestone in our strategic plan to invest in the best talent to maintain Irish aviation safety at the highest level,” he stated.
